  • Last weekend I got to take one last road trip to Brevard, North Carolina to visit my wonderful family friends.  A few weeks ago I had completely given up on even being able to go, because after every attempt to convince my parents to let me borrow a car I had no faith left. So I gave it up to Jesus and let him take it from there. Then, a week before I left, my sister told me her car would be available for an entire weekend because she was leaving for Nashville, Tennessee! Everything started falling into line from that point on.  I got the exact money I needed, I had the car AND the blessing from my parents.. ( A very important necessity to be able to go may I add) So I embarked on my trip and seven hours later I was in 50 degree weather in the mountains of North Carolina.

The weekend was filled with celebrations; Michael had his Going away to Africa Party/Birthday Party that Friday night. Abby and I celebrated our birthdays together with a fun trip to Hendersonville and Asheville on Saturday.  Then Sunday we hiked a small while and saw one of the most beautiful sunrises I’ve ever seen in my entire life. That’s a celebration in itself.

Getting to see all my wonderful friends was a complete and utter blessing. I couldn’t be more thankful to God for working in my favor. I’m continually wide eyed and awed at the fact that my savior would do such a thing for me.

Coming up soon in the life of Christina.. I leave for Africa this Thursday!! Ready For Blast Off blog to come soon. :)
